RESEARCH EXAMPLE FOR LYMAN ANDREWS
Attachment 1 shows the Family Group Sheet that Aunt Peggy Wraspir gave us.

Attachment 2 is checking Family Tree to see if info is there and whether Temple work done.

Attachment 3 is a result of “All Records” search in Ancestry.com, going to bottom of results page and opening a “Family Tree” for Lyman. I chose this tree (of several) because it is well documented. Parent, a second spouse, and 2 children are not shown in Family Tree so when they are entered, Temple work will be needed.

Attachment 4 is a search for Lyman in Family Search Family Tree and he is there. Note his PID so if you need to bring him up again in FT you will only need to put in the 7 digit number.

Select “Add Parent” in FT, Select Moses (Father of Lyman in Ancestry, so he will be in top, prime position) so you have his information to use in adding parent. I have browser presentations side by side FT and Ancestry, so I can read one to make entries in other. See attach 5 for Ancestry.com.

Do “Find Person” in FT, enter info for Moses, click “Find”. Attach 6 shows that a FT search showed that Moses is not in the system so click “Add”.

Attach 7 shows Moses ready to be added. Ancestry shows death date and place so I added it (click deceased before it will let you add). Click continue at bottom of page.

Attach 8 shows that Moses is now in FT as father of Lyman.

Attach 9 shows green arrow. Click green arrow which will put in Temple List. Then do FOR after you have entered Lyman's Mother and Children and Lyman's 2^nd spouse, Evaline Burnham Lee, (same way you did Moses). (To simplify, I only added Parents Moses and Susan. Now I will go back and add the children and 2^nd spouse, then make a second FOR to complete this family.

Attachment 10 and 11 shows Green arrow after adding parents Moses and Susan to FT. After clicking green arrow, “I have read”, their ordinances will go to your Temple List.

Attach 13 shows Susan and Moses, Ordinances that will be printed to FOR, next step.

Attach 15 shows completed FOR. Hooray- This is the payoff for all of your work, now take the printed FOR to the Temple Office where they will give you the cards for doing the ordinances. Your ancestors will now be able to progress.
